The Provider Enrollment Analyst will review, approve, deny or return applications submitted by providers within the appropriate standards and timelines established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of recent experience as a Part A and/or Part B Provider Enrollment Specialist for a Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC)

Must be familiar with Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System (PECOS)

Strong computer and telephone multitasking skills including: the ability to effectively search for and type information on the computer, navigate through multiple windows and screens quickly, and inputting information accurately while keeping pace with the call

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions

Must have strong technical skills (Microsoft Windows, keyboarding skills, strong systems aptitude, etc.)

Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive Responsibilities:

Assists providers (hospitals, institutions, physicians, non-physician practitioners, clinics, group practices, etc.) with the appropriate 855 application process (855A, 855B, 855I, 855R, 855O) to enroll in and become an approved Medicare provider for Medicare Part A or Part B

Screens and validates that the proper application was submitted by the provider and ensures that it contains all required information

Specialists verify information and credentials supplied by the provider by investigating background information, education and licensing, practice location, etc.

Creates enrollment records in the Provider Enrollment Chain Organization System (PECOS) under CMS guidelines and updates provider demographic information in the Multi Carrier System (MCS) Preferred Qualifications:
